Teulon Day Care Inc. is a government licensed not for profit day care centre. Daily, we accommodate 32 preschool children and 4 infants. We are open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday -Friday, year round (closed on statutory holidays). Full and part-time care is available. In March 2007, we moved into a brand new building designed specifically as a day care. We are located right in Green Acres Park which gives us access to the soccer fields, the park playground, walking trails and the skating rink.

During our daily program children participate in circle and art activities covering many different curriculum areas (math, science, dramatic play, etc.). The children are given large periods of uninterrupted free play time to encourage creativity in their own play. Both the indoor and outdoor environment are utilized as a "second teacher" to assist in learning. Qualified staff ensure that activities and materials are designed to assist all children in developing emotionally, socially, physically and cognitively. We strive to establish a strong parent-staff relationship to provide the best quality of care for the children.

We run a special pre-school program for the 4 year olds; this program helps them with all the important pre-kindergarten skills such as letter, number and shape recognition, cutting skills and basic concepts. If needed we provide referrals for speech and language programs and work together with other agencies to make sure the children get the best start in life.

We run a Before and After School Program that is licensed for 35 children enrolled in Kindergarten up to Grade 6. We are open from 6:45 a.m. until 5:45p.m. Monday to Friday. The program is currently run out of the gym in the Teulon Elementary School. On In-service days and school breaks (summer, spring break, etc.) the program is run all day. Activities and materials are provided based on the children's needs and interests.
