CONNECT is our new communication system that allows us to contact you by voice message on your landline or cellphone, by text message, email, or any combination you choose! Sign up for Teulon Connect to stay informed on all the latest news, important notices, and emergency alerts from Canada's national emergency alerting system (Alert Ready).
We are also able to send messages to specific geographic locations so we can let you know about any issues affecting your neighbourhood. Some other common uses have been for snow clearing updates, road closures, burn bans, special events, and electronic newsletters.
What types of messages will I get?
- Anyone that signs up for Teulon Connect will automatically receive messages from Canada's national emergency alerting system (Alert Ready). These messages originate from all levels of government, Environment Canada and the RCMP.
- Alerts on issues affecting your neighbourhood.
- You will be able to sign up for various departments, such as local notices, utility, recreation, general information, and community events.
Is this different than e-news?
Yes, e-news is strictly through email for the local notices posted on our website. Connect will allow us to send more information, as well as the local notices, through multiple platforms, including email if chosen. E-news will no longer be available.
What if I don't have access to a computer?
You can still sign up to receive phone calls to your landline, or if you have a cell phone you can receive phone calls or text messages on your device. You can contact the Town of Teulon office at (204) 886-2314 to get assistance with signing up. We also have a form available that can be printed and dropped off at the Town Office!
