Air Quality Monitor
The Town of Teulon has set up a new PurpleAir Quality Sensor outside at the Town Civic Centre. This sensor allows the public to view the quality of our air at any given time, as well as the ability to see the air quality of any PurpleAir Sensor in North America! This sensor can provide information on how individuals will be affected due to the current air quality.

What do PurpleAir Sensors measure and how do they work?
Reception Centre Emergency Exercise
The Town of Teulon’s CAO, Council, MEC and Residents participated in a Reception Centre Emergency Exercise at Stony Mountain Recreational Hall to learn how to open and work in a Community Reception Centre. In the event of an emergency evacuation we would have to register and care for our residents and possibly neighboring community residents; it is important that we practice and understand the process.
We are now better prepared because we participated in this joint exercise! We taught our team and additional area teams how to work within a Reception Centre, how to care for evacuees as well as pets should we need to evacuate.
We are looking for additional volunteers, if you are interested in helping with our emergency program please contact Shelley Napier at 204-806-0108 or Shelley@napierconsulting.ca.
