Teulon-Rockwood Green Acres Park

Teulon-Rockwood Green Acres Park serves the Town of Teulon and Wards 5 and 6 of the R.M. of Rockwood and portions of the RM of Armstrong. Green Acres Park houses the major recreation facilities for this area and is considered a tourist attraction.

The Park is approximately 80 acres in size and is located at the south end of the Town. The Park houses a dozen baseball diamonds, rodeo grounds, barbeque area, Museum, Art Centre, Curling Rink, Arena, Soccer Pitches, Lions playground, campground and a toboggan hill. A small stream meanders through the trees and a 2.5 km walking trail follows the stream. A new addition to the Park is the Green Acres Adult Fitness site which is located near the playground and the picnic shelter.

The Museum is the home of Hunter House, a municipally designated Heritage Site.

The Access Stage is available for use. 

Special events such as the Canada Day Celebrations, Teulon Truck and Tractor Pull, and the Teulon Rodeo are held in the Park each year as well as soccer, baseball and slo-pitch tournaments. The Park is used extensively, playing host to various sporting and cultural activities. Green Acres Park is the home field for the Teulon Cardinals Baseball Team. Teulon has a very active slo-pitch league, and soccer and minor ball clubs.

Rental Guidelines:

  • The Park Supervisor will have final say regarding availability of grounds, should there be unfavourable conditions i.e.: extreme wet weather.
  • Park shall be left in good condition following the event or arrangements must be made to return it to a suitable condition.
  • Park Supervisor shall use discretion as to the areas to be utilized, preferably at booking time.
  • Stage dressing rooms require a refundable $50 deposit for the key.
