TEPAC
The Teulon Elementary Parent Advisory Council
known as TEPAC serves the Teulon Elementary School
catchment area and/or parents/guardians of students attending the school.
TEPAC was established to enhance education of the students in the school, home and
community without infringing on the duties and responsibilities of professional staff.
The GOALS of TEPAC are:
1) to participate in the planning of the Teulon Elementary School Budget;
2) to facilitate free-flowing communication among TEPAC, school, parents and community;
3) to participate in the planning of Teulon Elementary School policies;
4) to advise parents of the proper channels to follow when any concern arises as per the
current Teulon Elementary School handbook;
5) to provide parental input in curricular and extra curricular areas;
6) to work co-operatively with the principal or delegate to organize and assist in implementing
parental and community input within the school;
7) to follow the current published guidelines for advisory councils as closely as is prudent;
8) to assist and/or implement volunteer programs within the school.
We are a group of individuals made up of parents, grandparents and family members
of students that attend the Teulon Elementary School. TEPAC works together to
fundraise for playground equipment, school equipment and programs not supplied by
the School Division. In 2009 we will be working on the completion of the north playground
area for the grade 4-6 students. We also provide hot lunches once a month
to the students at a nominal cost. TEPAC provides adult school patrol volunteers who
work with the student school patrols at the pedestrian cross walk at Beach Road
and Main Street in Teulon.
TEPAC welcomes individuals to get involved and join our group of dedicated
and energetic individuals. We meet monthly during the school year, on the
second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the
Teulon Elementary School.
